Writing books is the same.

From November 1, 2022, to May 30, 2024.

A full 666 chapters, a full 5.5 million words, a full year and seven months. It also marked exactly three full years since I entered the writing profession. So many "fulls"! It was practically an auspicious day for obsessive-compulsive disorder.

From the start, the overall outline had been planned for five to six million words. Ending at 5.5 million words was about what Lao Tian had expected. Lao Tian wouldn't dare claim that 100% of the loose ends had been tied up, but 99% of them had. I trust nobody has any objections, right?

In other words, at this point, there was nothing left to write. Continuing would just mean nesting multiverses within multiverses. I didn't want to write that, and readers today didn't want to read it either.

As for side stories, there didn't seem to be much left to write either.

Rather than spend time on that, I might as well prepare a new book.

No matter how everyone felt about it, by the time I got here, Lao Tian had already used every trick in the book. Even so, it was still only so-so, with a whole pile of flaws.

But being able to finish it smoothly had left Lao Tian very satisfied.

Over the past three years, counting an old two-million-word book published off-platform, as well as the previous six-hundred-thousand-word flop, Lao Tian had already written eight million words.
