Deep within the Abyssal Canyon

Time returned to when Dongyang Yi and Dongyang He were battling above the Abyssal Canyon.

Dongyang Yi and Dongyang He stood back to back, panting, their expressions grave as they watched the three Beast Emperors surrounding them.

They had never expected these three Beast Emperors to be so formidable.

Even with their strength combined, they could not defeat the beasts and had been wounded instead.

"Fifth Brother, I'll hold them off. You go first!" Dongyang Yi caught his breath and raised his saber, slashing a blade of light at the dragon beast opposite him to block the lightning hurtling toward him.

"Fourth Brother, you should go first! You're faster than I am, so you should be able to shake them off. I'll stay here and keep them occupied."

Dongyang He drew a deep breath and raised his saber to block a claw strike from the Phoenix Beast as he spoke in a low voice.

The dragon beast lifted its head and let out a deafening roar. Two bolts of lightning struck out, hemming the brothers in.

An enormous flare of saber light rose, blocking the dragon beast's lightning before spreading outward to envelop the three Beast Emperors.

The three Beast Emperors moved, retreating swiftly to evade their attack.

Seeing this, the brothers darted away, trying to seize the opportunity to escape.

The Phoenix Beast let out a piercing shriek and spat a stream of fire far fiercer than before.
