Divisions and insignia

The sect is divided into Eight Divisions. Its ordinary disciples wear white emblems marked by a black sun, while top-tier disciples bear golden trim around their emblems. 236

Territory and resources

History

The Yuan Sect was recognized as the strongest of the Eight Great Super Sects in the Eastern Xuan Region. It competed with the Dao Sect for influence and repeatedly inflicted losses on Dao Sect disciples during sect competitions. 192 218 236

During the Hundred Dynasties War, steward Liu Tong represented the sect at Hundred Dynasties Mountain. When the Western Xuan Region invaded and used the Heaven Sealing Array Diagram to seal the super-sect members, Liu Tong relied on the younger generation to disrupt the enemy formation. 192 194

A Yuan Sect delegation later appeared at Demonic Sound Mountain, where its elite disciples observed the conflict surrounding the Dao Sect. Hostilities escalated in Demonic City, where Wu Yun humiliated three Yuan Sect disciples; one retaliated by sending the sect's signal for reinforcements. 236 242

At the Burning Heaven Ancient Treasury, Yuan Cang attempted to drive Wu Yun away through the Ghost Blade Sect and Fire Cloud Sect. Wu Yun refused the ultimatum and sent a direct threat back to Yuan Cang, leading to their eventual confrontation. 248 254

The conflict worsened when Renyuanzi, Tianyuanzi, and Diyuanzi moved against Wu Yun. Renyuanzi was suppressed, while Tianyuanzi's attempt to use the Heavenly Demon Mink as leverage failed to force Wu Yun into submission. 265 266

After the Dao Sect relocated into the Ancient Tablet Space, Wu Yun and Wu Dao stripped the Yuan Sect of accessible external assets. Tianyuanzi and Diyuanzi, reduced to Primordial Spirits, sealed the sect's mountain gate and retreated inside. 271

Wu Yun, Lin Dong, and their allies eventually returned to the Eastern Xuan Region to attack the Yuan Sect directly. Their arrival killed the sect's scouts and forced Tianyuanzi and Renyuanzi to confront the invading force at the mountain gate; Tianyuanzi then revealed Zhou Tong as an ally. 324
