Hallucination?
When the laughter sounded, the business agent from Taiyi Ring in the front row grew slightly grim. Something heated up in his arms, and a pendant flashed red.
His expression immediately darkened. He abruptly rose to his feet.
Old Lin, who had been dozing beside him, suddenly opened his eyes. His gaze was sharp as a blade as it swept across the entire venue.
There was nothing unusual.
Only the lights flickered.
For an instant, then another, as though a mischievous child were playing with a switch, they kept dimming and brightening, disrupting the lively atmosphere in the banquet hall. Just as everyone raised their heads in mild confusion, a strange sound also rang out beside their ears.
Like the laughter of a child.
Or the excited whimpering cries of some beast.
With another flicker of the lights, a chill spread.
A shrine appeared out of thin air in the very center of the banquet hall stage, beneath everyone's eyes...
The pale shrine seemed to be built from piled bones. Strands of scarlet seeped from its cracks and dripped down.
An uninvited guest had arrived without warning!
In an instant, terrified cries sounded.
In the banquet hall, the Voodoo people from southern Thousand Isles were the first to react. Their dark skin turned ghostly pale.
"Katu Naha!"
He screamed and staggered backward. "It's Katu Naha!!!"
The shrine trembled faintly, and the two little sealed doors on it slowly opened. Amid the spreading boundless blood-red haze, a shrill bell sound rang out. At the highest point of the gift dais, a bone bell appeared out of thin air and tolled ceaselessly. Reeking blood poured down in an endless stream, while darkness spread like a long tail.
Within the opened shrine, a bizarre idol formed from withered bones and flesh appeared
