Geography
- The East Continent is a vast landmass in the east of the Mountain Sea World and is regarded as the human race’s principal homeland. 102
- Its central human lands contain the greatest concentration of tribes, city-states, countries, and later dynasties. 119
- Even after a century of human expansion, human territories occupied only a corner of the continent’s southeast; demons, monsters, spirits, and Exotic Beasts remained widespread beyond them. 196
- Northern territories include densely populated human regions, feudal domains, and unexplored lands farther north. 158
- The northern frontier is associated with the nomadic Barbarian Race, while the southwestern mountain regions are inhabited by Yi People mixed with demons and monsters. 196 272
- The continent’s available maps were initially incomplete: one map covering most human territory represented only about one-quarter of the East Continent and was not fully accurate. 265
Inhabitants and Civilization
Human civilization
The human race appeared in the East Continent with vague ancestral memories, as though they had lived there for millennia. Their earliest communities were scattered tribes transitioning from hunting to agriculture, producing pottery and jade artifacts while cultivating mulberry, hemp, and grain. 102
The discovery of ancient ruins accelerated development. Human communities acquired Spirit Script, language, cultivation spells, bronze- and iron-smelting methods, medicine, arithmetic, and calendrical knowledge. Trade centers developed into city-states, while practitioners capable of manipulating weather and casting illusions became known as Witch Priests. 102
- The East Continent developed a relatively unified culture and language compared with the South Continent’s Myriad Kingdoms Domain. 406
- Its central lands became known for prosperous Qi Refining cultivation and a dense concentration of high-level practitioners. 161 279
- The Xun Capital Academy became a major source of individuals with Merit qualified for deification, supporting the development of the Netherworld’s Earth Deity order. 194
- Later dynasties incorporated Immortal Dao sects, martial artists, Witch Priests, and divine-path institutions into their political order. 394
Non-human peoples
- Barbarian Race — northern nomadic peoples who live in tents, follow water and grassland, and frequently war among themselves or raid the Central Plains. 272
- Yi People — mountain and forest peoples who maintain villages, trade with neighboring states, and coexist more closely with local demons and Exotic Beasts. 272
- Ancient remnant races — groups such as the Feather Country People, Northern Rong Lei Zu Tribe, Yanhuo Kingdom People, and Xuanyuan Clan later entered Yang Capital and served under King Zheng Ji Chongming. 583
- Gods, demons, and water races — Earth Gods, Water Masters, Dragon Kings, and aquatic forces wield substantial influence over the continent’s rivers, mountains, and coastal regions. 333 351

Cultivation and Divine Systems
Qi Refining and Immortal Dao
The East Continent is a major center of Qi Refining cultivation, with cultivation methods, sects, and powerful cultivators more developed than those of the South Continent. 161 279
- Ancient ruins provide cultivation methods, spiritual medicines, artifacts, talisman inheritances, Daoist methods, and artifact-refining techniques. 112
- Immortal Dao cultivators participate directly in warfare, using formations capable of slaughtering armies and influencing the balance among states. 238
- The continent’s sects later send disciples into Great Zhou service or the Directorate of Astronomy. 394
Witch Priests and Witch Warriors
Witch Priests emerged alongside East Continent civilization after human communities obtained spells and written knowledge from ruins. 102
- Witch Priests can deduce weather, summon wind and rain, create illusions, and employ long-range curses. 102 238
- Witch Warriors activate bloodlines to gain extreme physical power, including tearing down city walls and cutting off rivers. 238
- Witch Priest and Witch Warrior factions were major competitors for disciples, territory, and influence during the feudal era. 158
Divine Path
The East Continent’s mountains and rivers are organized under the Netherworld Bureau’s divine order. 333
- Dragon Hill Emperor Lord and Changyue Emperor Lord govern reincarnation, life, and death across the East Continent. 333
- Mountain Gods and Water Masters administer regional land and waterways, while the Great Zhou later places many under imperial command. 442
- The Great Zhou Celestial Stars Formation binds the continent’s divine system to celestial power and seals its spiritual energy against outside observation. 521
