The development team had promised to send out helmets. That was good news.
But with only thirty-three a day, it still came down to luck.
Still, since they'd added a restriction prioritizing people who had been waiting over a month, at least that was something to show all the guys who'd been waiting more than a month. As soon as midnight passed the next day, the thirty-three spots were sent out. Those who got one would receive an official private message in their forum inbox, then all they had to do was wait patiently for eight hours to get their helmets.
Naturally, those who got a spot went straight to the "fishpond" to rack up a sense of achievement, and soon the Transia Tavern app was full of posts from lucky bastards. They made everyone who saw them furious enough to want to launch an offline Gank.
So you lucky winners had better thank the lockdown for keeping everyone at home. Otherwise, you'd be putting your lives at risk!
Of course, getting a helmet was only the beginning. Given the current progress of the game's story, new players had plenty of choices to make when they entered the game.
They had to choose a race and faction, then customize their faces. Those who had skins naturally put them on. Word was that the newbie zone in Transia had now been moved to Wolfhold, where new players spawned right on the Maginot Line. A new quest chain would guide them to the Filthy Swamp to help prepare for war.
There was plenty to do in the game, but overall, players didn't have much freedom.
Still, there wasn't much to complain about. The region was in the middle of a war, after all. Every outsider was supposed to be an elite soldier
