Coin
The Captain pressed the table again and ordered, "The First Mate violated my rules, so I killed him. Send two people to sew his head back on, then hang his body from the ship so everyone can see it."
Soon, two subordinates came in.
They bowed to the Captain. One carried the First Mate's head, and the other dragged his body. Then they quickly left.
The Captain smiled at Wang Cheng.
"Well?"
"Thank you, Captain, for giving me justice."
"Do you feel reassured now?"
"I do," Wang Cheng replied, utterly convinced.
"Good. You may go. Remember, no one can break the rules I set."
"As you command, Captain."
Wang Cheng and the Devil headed for the door.
The Captain silently watched them leave.
"Hey, brat," he suddenly called.
"Captain?"
"Dismiss your Devil, or my crew will panic."
Wang Cheng said nothing, but his Devil answered for him. "I will take him to his room. That will complete this summoning contract."
The Captain listened carefully, his brow gradually relaxing.
He nodded. "Very well. You must leave quickly, or you'll affect my people."
"Once Wang Cheng is safe, I'll leave," the Devil replied.
Bang!
The door slammed shut.
They were gone.
The Captain sat silently for a while.
His fist clenched unconsciously, as though killing the First Mate had done nothing to quell the fury in his heart.
"Bastard..." the Captain muttered under his breath.
Suddenly, he took a small box from beneath the table. He rummaged through it for a long time, then pulled out a coin.
It was a peculiar coin, smooth on its surface, with nothing engraved on it.
The Captain blew on it. Listening to the humming that came from its edge, he said softly, "Witch, I summon you."
