Throughout the long River of Time, the great events that shook the entire Nine Hundred Million Layer World always seemed to happen without warning.

These history-changing events were almost impossible to predict in advance, and no one could know all the details of what had happened as it unfolded.

Countless undercurrents lurked in the shadows. Even beings as mighty as gods could not control how things would unfold.

No one had expected it to bring a new proclamation and set of rules so soon.

But one second before the Light-Shape Being made its declaration to the two hundred million worlds of the Contention Zone,

the entire Contention Zone suddenly went dark.

Brilliant streaks of light, trailing long tails of radiance, appeared one after another in different parts of the Contention Zone.

It was like a meteor shower.

Yet an indescribably vast power enveloped the entire shower, making it impossible for anyone to detect where it had come from.

Even the most powerful beings in the entire Contention Zone knew only that countless unknown things had torn through time and space, arriving directly in the Contention Zone from an incredibly distant place.

But they had no idea what these things were or where they had come from.

Even the most skilled trackers could not discover where the meteors had gone.

The spectacle lasted only one second.

A fleeting second.

A perfectly timed second.

Every meteor vanished, disappeared, and hid itself.
