Geography
The Immortal Realm is divided into nine immense regions; a single region is many times larger than tens of millions of worlds comparable to the Xuantian World. 208
| Region / Location | Description |
|---|---|
| Central World | The central region and gathering place of the human race. It contains abundant spiritual energy and numerous major human sects, including Heavenly Valley, Nine Spirits Sect, Myriad Immortals Gate, Star God Sect, Divine Firmament Supreme Mansion, Nine Heavens Profound Firmament Alliance, and Beast Taming Immortal Gate. 208 |
| Heavenly Valley | A top force located at the heart of the Central World, beyond the uncrossable Central Divine River. Entry requires its specially made Divine Boat. Its immortal energy is dense enough to nearly condense into liquid. 209 |
| Nether Realm | The principal base of the Demon Race; its deepest reaches are depicted as a lightless, death-filled domain saturated with dark energy and the souls of the dead. 208 237 |
| Witch Realm | Domain of the Witch Race, whose cultivators specialize in physical bodies, souls, witchcraft, and totemic power rather than spiritual energy. The race maintains a neutral attitude toward the Central World. 208 |
| Azure Cloud Realm | A mist-covered cultivation land rich in immortal energy, inhabited by human cultivators and dispersed monster-race members. 208 |
| Crimson Flame Realm | A scorching fire domain. 208 |
| Myriad Forests Region | A realm of sentient demon plants and immense Ancient Tree Demons that have absorbed the essence of heaven and earth over countless years. 209 |
History
Tens of thousands of years ago, a great war involving Immortal Emperors devastated the Immortal Realm. The conflict severely weakened its forces, caused the decline of many factions, and inflicted major losses on the Kirin Clan. The Nine-Colored Divine Lotus and the secrets of the legendary Beyond the Heavens were associated with this era of conflict. 165 166
A separate battle between two powerful Immortals crossed from the Immortal Realm into the Xuantian World roughly ten thousand years ago. Their clash destroyed four of that world's five supercontinents and shattered its Immortal Path, preventing Ascension-stage cultivators from receiving immortal energy and ascending normally. 53
As the Immortal Path's reopening approached, Immortal Realm factions increasingly intervened in the Xuantian World through avatars, soul sacrifices, divine beasts, and unstable passages. 159 166 172 182
During the final conflict between Ao Gang and Shi Luo, their battle tore open a massive connection between the two worlds. The Master of Heavenly Valley subsequently merged the Xuantian World into the Immortal Realm. 241
Inter-Realm Travel
Immortal Path
The Immortal Path is the conventional and safer means for lower-world cultivators to ascend. It was severed after the battle in the Xuantian World, but was expected to reopen after nearly ten thousand years. 53 164 174
Forced Passages
Immortal Emperor-level experts can forcibly breach the spatial barrier between the Immortal Realm and lower worlds, but such openings are unstable and dangerous because the worlds' laws, energies, and rules conflict. Even Immortal Emperors may hesitate to traverse them. 166 173
- Failed ascension attempts through such passages can end in death, dispersal by spatial storms, or permanent loss in the void. 174
- A stable passage requires extraordinary resources, spatial-stabilizing treasures, and methods capable of reconciling the energies of both worlds. 173
- Immortal Realm experts commonly send clones rather than their main bodies through unstable routes. 159 166
- The Void Sky Centipede is an Immortal Realm divine beast that was transported to the Xuantian World through the backing of Heavenly Valley. 172 173

Relationship with the Xuantian World
- Lower-world immortal cultivation forces possess techniques passed down from the Immortal Realm, and some maintain connections to upper-realm powers. 51
- The Immortal Realm's violent energy makes it hazardous for non-Immortals; entering prematurely can result in destruction of the body. 173
- Immortal Realm cultivators who force their way into the Xuantian World may be suppressed by the lower world's Heavenly Dao, causing their cultivation to fall. 173
- Immovable Divine King Mountain secretly produced several Immortals through Heavenly Valley's support despite the Xuantian World's severed Immortal Path. 157 173
- Heavenly Valley dispatched Immortal Emperor-level elders to protect Qin Hao in the lower realm, treating his Dragon bloodline and potential as strategically important. 174 201
- The realm's powers repeatedly targeted Qin Hao for his unusually pure Dragon bloodline, including the White Bone Demon Lord and Netherflame Demon Emperor. 164 198
