The wound looked horrifying, but it hadn't reached the bone. Compared to the Twin-Odd Great Snake's terrifying bulk, it was merely a flesh wound.

Zhou Daogan was secretly marveling at the Twin-Odd Great Snake's incredible defenses when, still airborne, he suddenly found himself facing a downpour of corrosive rain.

The Twin-Odd Great Snake's whip-like strike had been a feint, meant to force him into the air. Its two enormous, inverted-triangle heads opened their gaping jaws at the same time.

The snake mouth on the left spewed a scarlet mist that billowed with smoke. The moment it left the mouth, the temperature within a radius of thirty feet began to rise sharply.

At the same time, the gaping mouth on the right spewed thick white fog. The fog rose into the air and formed clouds. Suddenly, a sky full of caustic, corrosive rain came pouring down.

In an instant, the scarlet mist and corrosive rain blanketed the sky.

Zhou Daogan had nowhere to evade. He was about to be drenched.

Then he heard him shout, "Twin Dragons Turn Phoenix!"

His hands, held concealed against his chest, formed an extraordinarily intricate series of seals. Two dense streams of killing intent surged from his palms, swiftly coiling around him into two dragon-like waves of energy.

The two waves radiated a strange suction, drawing in every trace of mist and rain that came near Zhou Daogan and swallowing it into their dragon mouths.

The spraying and suction continued in a stalemate for more than a dozen breaths. Suddenly, the two Qi Dragons guarding Zhou Daogan's sides merged, transforming into the shape of a vast black phoenix. The enormous phoenix beat its wings, then exploded with a boom.

A tremendous wave of energy formed a plane ten zhang long and wide, surging into the sky
