That thing could control Spirit Transmutation Experts. Even the Lord of the Abyss, who had occupied this chaotic otherworld for a hundred years and searched it cautiously and painstakingly, had only obtained a dozen or so mid-level Mind Devourers.

The first option was hard to pull off. Unless someone trusted you without reservation, they wouldn't fall for such a trick. As for the second, controlling the body was easy, but preventing the Primordial Spirit from self-destructing while taking control of it was exceedingly difficult. The reason the Lord of the Abyss hadn't used even one of his mid-level Mind Devourers was, first, that he had no subordinate who needed one, and second, that controlling a Spirit Transmutation Expert from head to toe was simply too difficult. Besides, no one would trust the Lord of the Abyss without reservation.
