Amid the ever more violent Void Tides, the Azure Dragon Emperor roared as he clashed with the two powerful Chaos Wraiths. Lei Dong could not defeat either one of them; if he encountered one, all he could do was take a detour and flee.
But over the past one or two thousand years, the Azure Dragon Emperor's strength had also surged tremendously. Unfortunately, fury and savagery had utterly destroyed his reason. At this point, only destruction remained in his mind. Faced with the two powerful Chaos Wraiths' taunts, he showed no fear, howling as he threw himself into battle with them.
Even so, the Azure Dragon Emperor was astonishingly formidable now. Fighting two extraordinarily powerful Wraiths alone, he still had the upper hand by a wide margin. He looked ready to smash them to pieces and devour them, and would not stop until he had done so.
How could Lei Dong let such a perfect opportunity pass? At once, he darted and weaved swiftly through the Void Tides, fleeing far away. Even when he encountered Wraiths he could kill, he could not be bothered to attack; he simply shot past and left them far behind.
In this way, Lei Dong finally shook off the tail that had been dogging him, accomplishing his first strategic objective. Whether the Azure Dragon Emperor lived or died no longer had anything to do with Lei Dong.
With his objective firmly in mind, he headed toward the center of the Chaos Sea. The farther he went, the more difficult the journey became. But with the Eye of Reincarnation, Lei Dong could devour the Chaos Spirit Qi and its source here without restraint, so he faced no great danger. It was only that, the deeper he ventured, the more violent the Chaos Vortices and tides became.
