"Marshal, we have news from the New World."
"The Richest Group's Queen of Luck and Tyrant appeared on Insect Island and wiped out the entire Insect Pirates!"
New New Marineford.
A messenger arrived at the marshal's office to deliver the report.
The news had reached not only the Navy, but also the Revolutionary Army, the Four Emperors, and other forces.
"Hmph. It seems the Insect Pirates really did get the Gold-Gold Fruit."
Sakazuki's face darkened.
She hadn't expected the Richest Group to act so quickly.
But it didn't matter.
Give her a little time, and the Navy would rebuild its strength. Then dealing with the Richest Group, now without Gild Tesoro, would be only a slight inconvenience.
"Have you found the location of Gold City yet?"
Sakazuki turned to the messenger. Borsalino was still in the Richest Group's hands, after all.
"We've only confirmed that it's in the Calm Belt. We don't know the exact location yet."
The messenger shook his head, looking troubled.
The Navy wasn't the only force searching for Gold City. The others were looking for it, too.
But the key was that Gold City lay in the Calm Belt. Even though the Navy had the means to sail through it, they couldn't simply go in at will. If they ran into a Sea King acting erratically, their ship could be destroyed and everyone aboard killed.
"Keep searching. Gold City must not fall into the hands of another force."
Sakazuki's mood soured at once.
"Yes, ma'am!"
Meanwhile.
On a remote, harsh island in the Calm Belt.
"Starting now, you'll undergo three years of training."
Garp, Dragon, and Sabo stood together, facing Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Robin.
In the original story, Rayleigh had guided their training. This time, though, Garp would be the one to do it.
