There was no doubt that his violent treatment of Cynthia couldn't possibly be kept under wraps.
By now, the entire underground research facility was probably watching this office.
Fu Qian was even quite certain that a group of guards had gathered outside the door at that very moment.
But there was one problem: the guards weren't rushing in.
They had surrounded the place, but they hadn't come in to stop him—not even after Doctor Cynthia had been forced to look in the mirror.
That was a rather curious response, to say the least.
Since everything that happened in the office was under surveillance, Fu Qian's interpretation was that his actions, from beginning to end, were still being treated as a case study.
In other words, in the project leader's eyes, he still hadn't stepped outside the broad framework of the test.
Cynthia's reaction just then proved it, too.
At a glance, she was brimming with a spirit of self-sacrifice for the sake of science.
In fact, that was one of the reasons Fu Qian hadn't let Cynthia keep looking.
As long as he was a test subject and kept his actions within certain limits—enough to make them think he was under control—there would still be room to maneuver.
But if he chose to go beyond five minutes, that would be an outright catastrophe.
At that point, his only option would be to fight his way out in full-on slaughter mode.
In all that chaos, finding the real Goya would be out of the question.
Though his Sanity Value was over a hundred again, that was no reason to waste it like this.
"A special case, so you're still observing me?"
At that moment, in order to play along with the researchers, Fu Qian let his smile fade and spoke in
