"Did you forget to bring something?"
Looking into Su Gao's seemingly expressive eyes, Fu Qian took the initiative and asked.
"Yeah, I'm really sorry."
She answered quite naturally, though there wasn't much apology in her tone.
"No problem. I'll go with you."
Fu Qian waved a hand with gentlemanly grace, then looked back at the three of them reminiscing.
"You go on ahead. Don't wait for us."
Seeing that Kanna Kisaragi looked reluctant, he pointed at Takagi's neck.
"He's injured. He can't stay outside for too long."
Faced with an unassailable reason, Kanna Kisaragi was at a loss for words.
"You're hurt?"
Only then did Takagi's friend seem to notice something was wrong. He exclaimed and glanced awkwardly at Kanna Kisaragi, seeming to suspect that she might have been the one who hurt him.
It was no wonder he'd thought too much. Takagi's behavior just now had been downright abnormal!
"A rock fell down the mountain! We just came from the clinic."
Though the man's movements had been subtle, Takagi still seemed deeply shaken. He immediately shouted in a panic.
It seemed that seeing Kanna Kisaragi wrongly accused was harder for him to bear than dying.

The excuse was far-fetched, but still plausible enough.
But Takagi's eagerness to defend her only made his friend seem less convinced. His gaze turned even stranger, and he gave a perfunctory response.
"We're probably not headed the same way. See you next time!"
But Takagi was clearly unsatisfied with his attitude. The next moment, he grabbed Kanna Kisaragi's hands and brusquely showed him the door.
Takagi's friend was already looking at him as if he were insane. But with the couple standing together, he quickly lost interest. Shaking his head, he walked away.
"Mr. Dancy, we'll
