Chapter 917: The Limit
"What do you mean?"
Given her previous dealings with Fu Qian, Selena considered his remarks absolute nonsense and didn't want to hear another word.
Unfortunately, that one sentence had just shattered her strategy.
"After multiple attempts, you concluded that this is the only anomaly here, so it ought to contain more information."
Fu Qian held up one finger.
"At the same time, you can't find it."
"If it's there but you can't see it, the only explanation is that you're observing it the wrong way."
"You're not going to tell me I shouldn't use my eyes, are you? Should I close them and use my ears and nose instead?"
"No, no. If you look at it that way, there are too many possibilities, and none of them make sense."
Fu Qian waved his hands repeatedly.
"We need to start with a variable that stands out."
"Think about it. What's the variable unique to this place?"
"Confinement..."
Selena understood at once, but then shook her head.
"It won't work. I've stayed here until I reached my limit more than once, and nothing unusual ever happened... You're not going to say I haven't pushed myself far enough, are you? That would be far too suspicious."
As she spoke, Selena couldn't help laughing.
"Putting aside the fact that I'm not going to put myself in that kind of danger based on one of your guesses, I can say with complete confidence that you'd probably be the first to go down."
"Don't be so narrow-minded. If I wanted to kill you, would I need to go to all that trouble?"
Fu Qian looked at her with scorn and immediately silenced her with an irrefutable fact.
"What do you think this omnipresent confinement inside comes from?"
"I don't know."
