January 27, heavy snow
The great battle had just ended. The ground was a disaster: the city lay in ruins, corpses littered the streets, and snow fell in thick, feathery flakes, as though trying to bury the battle beneath a white shroud.
The city's Corpse King had been far more difficult to deal with than I'd expected. Since it was known for its strength, I'd call it the Strength Corpse King for now.
The Strength Corpse King was the father of the little girl we'd rescued from the basement. Though it was a rational zombie, its heart was still with the zombies. It was determined to turn all of humanity into zombies.
The little girl and the Strength Corpse King recognized each other. It was a moving scene. She tried to soften it with the power of love, but love failed to work its magic. The Strength Corpse King was no longer the father it had once been. It pierced straight through the little girl's body. Disbelief filled her face as she fell into a pool of blood.
Fortunately, I used my power to control zombies to awaken the little girl's survival instincts. Then I used an antidote obtained from human adventurers to pull her back from the brink of zombification. After that, I ordered several zombies who'd been internal medicine doctors in life to treat her injuries.
As for me, just as expected, I faced off against the Strength Corpse King.
The Strength Corpse King was wary of me. It could sense the deadly threat I posed, so it kept its distance, staying beyond the range of my control skill.
It hurled boulders, vehicles, and other things at me. It could even hoist skyscrapers and throw them in my direction. A hard stomp could crack the road like an
