History
Witch–Demon Era
The Primordial Era was once dominated by the Witch Clan and Demon Race. Their conflict drew in Great Witches, Demon Gods, Ancestor Witches, Demon Saints, and numerous allied races; their forces treated Golden Immortals as expendable and possessed overwhelming numbers of higher-level cultivators. 31 215
The final Witch–Demon war devastated the world. The Nine Heavens collapsed, Buzhou Mountain fell, and the Era required intervention from Heavenly Dao Saints, the Three Pure Ones, Saint Nuwa, and other powerful figures to stabilize the world and mend the sky. 242
Establishment of Recorded Time
The Primordial Era originally did not record years. Haotian changed this by defining a new heavenly order in which one day in Heaven equaled one year on Earth. This regulation became the Era's recognized time system. 229 274 283
Rise of Humanity and the Human Dao
Following the Witch–Demon conflict, the Human Race expanded rapidly through its population, adaptability, tool use, and cultivation potential. Backed by the Intercepting Sect, humanity became recognized as the protagonist of Heaven and Earth despite having comparatively few high-level experts. 283
The Human Dao manifested ahead of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors' full rise. Its emergence strengthened living beings' origins, clarified their thoughts, and made cultivation smoother throughout the Primordial Era. 330
A later surge in Human Dao Origin restored damaged earth veins and gaps in the firmament left by previous tribulations. Innate Spiritual Energy began gathering even in ordinary mountains and rivers, increasing the Era's overall vitality. 528
Era of Saintly Lineages
The destruction of the Witch and Demon powers marked a transition toward an age led by Saintly lineages and major sects. The Intercepting Sect became the dominant force in the Primordial Era, with its influence extending through Immortal Markets, trade, teleportation arrays, Godhood, Martial Dao, and new forms of communication. 242 475
The spread of Godhood and Martial Dao Hunyuan methods produced more Grand Unity Golden Immortals, divine kingdoms, and Martial Dao holy lands. 475
Hunyuan Upheavals
Qingyuan's breakthrough to Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal caused Great Dao Laws to manifest across the Era and produced a tribulation cloud feared to be capable of destroying it. 260
Later conflicts between Qingyuan, the Heavenly Dao Saints, and outside forces caused blood rain to fall throughout the Primordial Era—an omen understood as the fall of Heavenly Dao Saints. 613 615
The established balance of the Era further destabilized when native powers began attaining Hunyuan Saint status in succession, including the Queen Mother of the West, Jiu Feng, Chi You, and four Yao Race Saints in a single day. 717 719
