The sound of the city gates collapsing made the soldiers inside Pingyuan City feel their hearts seize violently.
Most of those responsible for guarding Pingyuan City were newly conscripted recruits. Many had only taken part in the battle to capture Pingyuan City, after which they had been stationed there. When had they ever faced a situation like this?
