Cultivation World
Yunzhou’s cultivation world was once led by ten transcendent powers, each supported by Myriad Transformations Realm Dao Venerables. The Five Elements Holy Sect stood above the rest as its sole sacred land for ten thousand years. 1144
| Classification | Powers | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One Sacred Land | Five Elements Holy Sect | Yunzhou’s former supreme sacred land; it possessed a foundation far beyond the other transcendent powers before its destruction 1144 1233 |
| Two Sects | Wunian Temple; Upper Clear Sect | Leading Buddhist and Daoist forces, respectively based in Yunzhou’s east and west 1144 |

| Four Great Dynasties | Great Shang; Great Jing; Great Yuan; Great Jin | Each was originally supported by one Myriad Transformations Realm Dao Venerable; Great Jing lost its transcendent status after Martial Emperor’s fall 1144 |
Former Sacred Land
The Five Elements Holy Sect was established in Yunzhou by a branch of the Ancient Five Elements Sect that fled Yuzhou after a great upheaval ten to twenty thousand years earlier. Its inheritance later declined and portions of its ancient records were erased before the sect was destroyed. 1267
- Its Five Elements Mountain Range drew spiritual energy and qi essence from a radius of roughly one million li through its grand formation. 1141
- At its height, the sect was Yunzhou’s symbol of authority and the destination of cultivators seeking prestige, instruction, and opportunity. 1231 1233
- The sect’s destruction ended an era in which it had dominated Yunzhou for more than ten thousand years. 1233
Qingtian Sect
Qingtian Sect is a rare body-refinement power whose history is tied to the Glazed Golden Body.
- Its Battle Ancestor rose during a chaotic era roughly five to six thousand years ago and attained the Glazed Golden Body after forging an invincible path. 1153
- The Battle Ancestor later repelled five Blood Demon Sect Myriad Transformations Demon Lords, killing two, but vanished afterward; Qingtian Sect’s core oral inheritance was severed when its senior members died. 1153
- By the present era, the sect relied on an aged Myriad Transformations Realm cultivator and had largely lost its body-refinement lineage. 1144 1153
History
Ancient Upheavals
The Ancient Five Elements Sect originally existed in Yuzhou. Following a world-changing disaster ten to twenty thousand years ago, one branch migrated to Yunzhou and established the Five Elements Holy Sect. 1267
Around five to six thousand years ago, the Blood Demon Sect rose to prominence and attacked the Five Elements Holy Sect. Both powers suffered severe losses: the Blood Demon Sect withdrew beyond the domain, while the Five Elements Holy Sect sealed its gate after losing a key treasure. Their retreat destabilized Yunzhou and began a chaotic age in which numerous powerful cultivators emerged. 1153
Rise of Zhang Qingyuan
Zhang Qingyuan arrived in Yunzhou before reaching the Cave True Law Domain Realm, then advanced to the Myriad Transformations Realm in less than a century—an ascent regarded as unprecedented by Yunzhou cultivators. 1163
His breakthrough battle in the Qingyang Monster Beast Mountain Range transformed Yunzhou’s balance of power. He withstood a three-against-one assault, advanced during combat, and killed three Myriad Transformations Realm cultivators. 1140
The later conflict at the Wuxuan Sect ruins intensified the upheaval. Zhang Qingyuan fought a coalition of twelve Myriad Transformations Realm cultivators, while reports credited his final sword strike with killing eight and forcing the Five Elements Holy Sect’s Founding Ancestor to retreat. 1198 1199
Fall of the Five Elements Holy Sect
After Yunzhou’s righteous powers suffered repeated losses, the Outer Domain demonic sects launched a large-scale offensive across the continent. The resulting Mo Calamity spread war, blood sacrifices, and plunder through multiple regions. 1167 1203
The Five Elements Holy Sect was ultimately destroyed when four Myriad Transformations Realm black-armored figures—later identified as corpse-refining puppet clones controlled by Zhang Qingyuan—attacked and devastated its sect gate. 1232 1233
Its collapse ended Yunzhou’s old order and left cultivators across the Nine Continents Continent shocked by the loss of a sacred land that had endured for ten thousand years. 1233

Present Balance of Power
- Qianyun Mountain — Its influence expanded rapidly as forces sought Zhang Qingyuan’s protection; its territory grew more than fivefold over ten years. 1228 1236
- Myriad Transformations puppet defenses — Four corpse-refining puppets guard Qianyun Mountain, making it a force few in Yunzhou dare provoke. 1236 1457
- Zhang Qingyuan — Regarded as Yunzhou’s absolute peak, with no local cultivator considered capable of rivaling him. 1217
- Former transcendent powers — The Four Great Dynasties were crippled or scattered amid the continent’s upheavals, while the destruction of the Five Elements Holy Sect erased Yunzhou’s former sacred-land hierarchy. 1203 1233
