History

Three hundred years before the main events, the Elephant Mountain Sect was the dominant power of Tiannan Domain. During the Yuqing Immortal Sect's campaign against the Tianmo Sect, the Elephant Mountain Sect rebelled, allied with the Netherworld Sect, and struck surrounding powers from the rear. The Yuqing Immortal Sect subsequently annihilated it; in its final struggle, the sect's Old Ancestor cast its mountain gate into the chaotic void. 494 499

The destruction of the Elephant Mountain Sect severely damaged Tiannan Domain's cultivation foundation. The conflict ruptured its terrestrial spirit veins, causing a long-term decline in ambient spiritual energy and leaving the domain among the weakest of the Southern Great Domain's thirty-six minor domains. 364 895

For the following three centuries, Tiannan cultivators were reportedly unable to achieve a Spirit Wandering breakthrough within the domain itself. Rise of Great Bay Village

Great Bay Village began as a remote settlement with twelve mu of spirit fields and few nearby cultivation resources. Its location made it an undesirable Shen Clan assignment, but it grew rapidly after the Sanhe Chamber of Commerce opened a temporary trading post and cultivators began using it as a commercial stop. 10 126

The settlement later expanded into Big Bay City, becoming a cultivation city second only to Qing City in scale. Its original village site was preserved separately so that Shen Changchuan's former residence and cultivation grounds would remain undisturbed. 486 838
