Jieyin and Zhunti withdrew their hands, and the Buddha light faded away.

Standing atop the ruins, the Nine-Tailed Empress wore a grim expression. Her nine tails had been drawn in as she looked coldly at Jieyin and Zhunti, saying:

"I can agree to join the Western Heavenly Court, but I have one condition."

Hearing the Nine-Tailed Empress's words, Jieyin spoke:

"Go on!"

"What condition?"

The Nine-Tailed Empress did not beat around the bush and replied directly:

"From this day forth, Green Hill Land can submit to the Heavenly Court."

"But... it shall still remain under this Empress's autonomous rule."

"The Western Heavenly Court must not interfere in Green Hill Land's internal affairs."

After hearing the Nine-Tailed Empress's terms, Jieyin frowned slightly. Then his gaze shifted toward Venerable Yuanshi.

He was clearly seeking Venerable Yuanshi's opinion.

Meeting Jieyin's gaze, Venerable Yuanshi gave a slight nod and said:

"Agreed!"

Having said that, he did not wait for Jieyin and the others to react. With a flash, he vanished into the void.

After Venerable Yuanshi left, Jieyin looked at the Nine-Tailed Empress and said calmly:

"Very well."

"Then it shall be as you say."

"From this day onward, Green Hill Land shall belong to the Heavenly Court, while you, Nine-Tailed Empress, shall retain the authority to govern it!"

As he spoke, Jieyin turned his gaze to Haotian and asked softly:

"Haotian, you have no objections, do you?"

Upon hearing this, Haotian naturally dared not raise any objection.

It was already an excellent outcome for Green Hill Land to join the Western Heavenly Court.

"Everything shall be according to the Saints' decree!"

Though he said this aloud, Haotian was filled with complicated feelings.

He thought that even though he had already reached Sub-Saint cultivation, before Saints, he was still insignificant—he had no say whatsoever.
