Background / History

The Primordial World was opened from Chaos by Great God Pangu, who used the Sky Splitting Divine Axe to carve a new void from primordial Chaos Qi. Pangu expended his remaining strength to create and sustain the forming world after fighting the Chaos Demon Gods. 49 218

Despite its scale, the world was not completed as a genuine Great Thousand World. According to Youming, Pangu's body merged into the new world after creation, but Pangu's Heart was lost; without it, the world remained fundamentally incomplete and the Great Dao retreated. 340 341

The early world endured the Fierce Beast Tribulation, Dragon-Phoenix Tribulation, and Dao-Demon Conflict. In the aftermath, powerful cultivators were scarce: Daluo Golden Immortals were nearly nonexistent, while Hongjun was the sole Heavenly Dao Saint. 1

The Heavenly Dao emerged unusually early and later used Hongjun as its representative. Hongjun eventually merged with the Heavenly Dao, establishing the Mystic Gate and seeking to consolidate control over the world. 104 223

Houtu's establishment of the Six Paths of Reincarnation awakened the Earthly Dao, breaking the Heavenly Dao's exclusive control over the world. Nuwa's creation of the Human Race subsequently awakened the Human Dao, creating the three-Dao structure of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. 100 105

Heavenly Dao

The Heavenly Dao was the first Dao to awaken and initially controlled the entire Primordial World. Hongjun merged with it, becoming its principal representative and exerting pressure over all living beings. 104 152
