In the eyes of mages from the many Main Worlds, this was a place filled with mystery and peril, yet also with secrets that lured them to explore it again and again. But to the beings who lived there, it was a vast prison.
Countless Evil Gods and godspawn, along with unspeakable things passed down from ancient times, had all been banished here by the True Gods. As ages passed, they devoured one another, turning the place into a gigantic breeding pit for poisonous creatures. No one knew what kind of vicious, terrifying Evil creature would emerge in the end.
Indeed, from the moment the gods made this place a seal, all the darkness and sin in the world had poured into it without end, eventually turning the whole world into hell.
A dark-red sky. Parched, cracked earth.
Rivers of roiling magma and corrosive water flowed through the channels, not a trace of life in sight.
Even for supernatural beings, the environment here was too harsh.
Yet even in the Inner World, living creatures still existed.

At the bottom of a vast abyss, black liquid boiled and churned, as if an active volcano lay beneath it.
Unlike the magma and rivers of venom, the land around this abyss finally held a trace of cold, and black plants grew there, their surfaces like forged steel.
Black Armored People, their bodies covered in spines and their faces hideous, rode bizarre beasts as they hunted and farmed near the abyss... forming a small tribe.
In this land forsaken by the gods, a people had managed to survive! That alone was almost beyond belief.
