Seated at the head of the room was a person whose gender was impossible to discern, wearing a mask and enveloped from head to toe in an enormous suit of armor.
"That's not important."
The elder's voice sounded muffled, whether that was how it naturally sounded or the armor had altered it.
"Now is the period of the Cosmic Genius Selection Tournament. Headquarters has decided that our Revival Society will officially step into the public eye."
"So before that, we need to make a few moves."
"Moves?"
The black-robed steward seemed to catch his drift.
He just couldn't believe it.
The Cosmic Genius Selection Tournament had been launched by the two great powers, Blade Prison and the Demons. Who would dare cause trouble under the noses of those two?
The Demons were the kind who went looking for trouble even when there was none.
Blade Prison was a little more restrained, but if you provoked them, they were still a pack of lunatics. There was no question the consequences would be a fight to the death.

The words rang out from inside the armor, firm and unwavering.
The steward before him trembled at those words.
Even people who hadn't followed the tournament knew that its hundred qualifying rounds would take more than three months. The group stage had no fixed schedule or number of matches, but all of it would take place online, through virtual selection and combat.
So if they wanted to assassinate the geniuses, they would have to seek them out one by one. That would be extremely difficult.
