This world had three dynasties.

The first was the Great Yin Dynasty on the Western Continent.

The second was the Nine Dragon Imperial Dynasty, while the last was the Great Gan Dynasty. It had long since fallen to internal strife and split into Great Zhou, Great Qi, and Great Ying.

Great Ying had fallen as well, but it still maintained a dynasty in the Nine Nether, clinging to life in its death throes.

The Nine Dragon Imperial Dynasty was a dynasty made up purely of the Demon Race, active across countless islands and continents overseas.

Legend had it that the first dragon born between Heaven and Earth had children with the strongest female members of nine Demon Race tribes: the Ox, Wolf, Bird, Frog, Lion, Turtle, Tiger, Azure Dragon, and Fish tribes. These children were called the Dragon's Nine Offspring.
