Background

Rebirth and stolen future

In his original life, Zheng Tong murdered Lu Feng with a High-Energy Heat Melting Gun after Lu Feng’s Martial University placement was taken from him. Lu Feng then awakened on June 8, back in his Senior Year Class 9 classroom with knowledge of events yet to come 3.

Born to ordinary-worker parents, Lu Feng endured three years of painful body tempering without cultivation resources to earn his university qualification. Principal Zhao Chang nevertheless ordered his name replaced with Zheng Tong’s to secure the Vice City Lord’s grandson a place at Martial University 1.

Skyfire Club

After losing his university path, Lu Feng joined Skyfire Club’s Mecha Department alongside Shen Yu. Hong Kun discovered Lu Feng’s ability to tame Exotic Beasts and required him to keep it secret; Lu Feng accepted because he had no intention of exposing the ability 7.

His chest imprint allowed him to absorb energy from Tier 3 and higher Exotic Beasts. He used the resulting cultivation gains to rapidly advance, while using Beast Fighting Arena wagers to raise money for Lu Mingxue’s surgery and improve his family’s living conditions 17 19.

Xie An attempted to recruit him into the Alliance military after witnessing him pacify two violent Wind Chasing Beasts. Lu Feng refused at the time, prioritizing his sister’s surgery, his family’s needs, and his distrust of the Alliance after the loss of his university place 20.

Expedition and revenge

He Qing’s murder left Lu Feng grief-stricken and convinced that the Zheng family was involved. He devoted himself to cultivation and joined Skyfire Club’s interstellar expedition, viewing alien planets as a source of Exotic Beasts and a path toward revenge 26 27.

During the Carro-9 expedition, Lu Feng concealed his rapid progress until the Night Owl Squad’s ambush forced him to reveal his Innate Realm strength. He later killed Zheng Yi for orchestrating attacks that nearly destroyed the Chasing Wind Squad and killed its members 51 56.

After returning to Tianlan Star, Lu Feng defended his family from Zheng Henian, defeated him in one move, and killed him. The military then leveraged the damage from the battle to compel Lu Feng’s formal enlistment 63 64.

Military command and wider conflicts

Lu Feng became the unusually young commander of the 115th Legion, shocking both its soldiers and his former Skyfire Club peers 69. His strength continued to grow through expeditions, Exotic Beast hunts, Star Source Stones, Immortal Crystals, and the power of the Star Beast Seal.

He later entered conflicts spanning the Ancient Sect, the Emerging Sect, the Bright Cult, the Sea of Myriad Sources, and the Eternal Continent. He escaped Fak’s attempted ambush, rescued Tang Xiaofu, destroyed Gu Yuetian and the Myriad Sources Merchant Guild fleet, and ultimately awakened Xuan Pin, the mother of giant beasts, before slaying the Primordial Lords 224 313 332.

Personality

Lu Feng is exceptionally determined, shaped by poverty, institutional injustice, and the loss of people close to him. He endured severe physical pain throughout high school to change his family’s future, and later treated cultivation as the means to protect them 1.

He is naturally reserved and avoids drawing attention to his strength; his early realm exposures were accidental rather than deliberate displays 42. This restraint coexists with intense hostility toward those who prey on others through power, particularly the Zheng family and those responsible for the Chasing Wind Squad’s losses 24 56.

His loyalty to family, friends, and subordinates remains a central motivation. However, his pursuit of strength grows increasingly ruthless: he extracts David’s Soul Origin to aid his own breakthrough despite the pain it causes his mount 193.
