A quick explanation
I just woke up and found that it seems some readers didn't see the author's note at the end of yesterday's chapter, so I'll explain the issue with the update word count.
Previously, combining updates into larger chapters was mainly to make it easier to raise the average subscriptions, but this month, since there are extra chapters for monthly votes, I felt it would be better to keep the word count of each chapter roughly the same, and also change my reputation of only updating once a day.
Also, the five extra chapters for thirty thousand monthly votes at the end of the chapter (at most, only five extra updates can be chosen) is a Qidian event. If it's completed within the first seven days of the month, Qidian will additionally gift 3,000 monthly votes, so I clicked to participate. But the extra updates will still follow what was said before: within the first seven days of the month, every one thousand monthly votes adds three thousand words. If this event is completed, the returned and increased monthly votes will also count for extra updates.
