Some stepped out from distorted light, some rose from the shadows on the ground, some directly dispelled their illusions, while others cautiously approached from afar.
These people were the final survivors of this brutal free-for-all, aside from Benjamin and the two Level 5 Wizards who had just withdrawn.
They had remained hidden nearby, witnessing this earth-shaking battle.
Benjamin swept his gaze around. The ghostlike figures that emerged one after another numbered exactly thirteen.
Six were Level 4 Wizards, and seven were Level 3 Wizards.
They faintly formed a loose encirclement. Their positions appeared casual, yet they sealed off most possible routes of escape.
Their auras were subtly linked, clearly indicating that they had reached some sort of temporary alliance.
They formed an alliance? Benjamin understood at once, and was not surprised.
Wizards were professions that survived through wisdom and knowledge. When faced with a formidable enemy they could not fight alone, joining forces was precisely the expression of rationality and intelligence.
The reason he had detected their presence was not through detection magic.
After all, with the spatial lockdown and the interference of energy turbulence, such methods had been greatly weakened. Benjamin himself was also in poor condition, with no ability to pay attention to his surroundings.
He had discovered the enemies based on one simple fact: Helios and Morpheus had already admitted defeat and left the field, yet the [Spatial Anchoring Forcefield] blanketing this area remained as stable as ever.
That could only mean that the person maintaining the forcefield was still here—or rather, that there was still enough power sustaining it.
