More than ten days later.
Benjamin stood before the laboratory bench, with Recording Crystals and data scrolls piled in front of him.
They were the results produced by the dedicated testing team over the past ten-odd days.
The wizards had tested attacks using more than ten thousand different materials and spells, recording every result.
As Benjamin looked over the results in the data, the corners of his mouth lifted. He was almost certain his original idea had been right.
His Magic Network Terminal suddenly lit up.
[Lord Martin summons you]
Benjamin raised an eyebrow, put away what he was working on, and left the laboratory.
It was the same central camp, the same three security checks, and the same enormous fortress expanded by spatial magic.
This time, though, the atmosphere in the command room was noticeably more relaxed.
Martin still sat in the main seat. When he saw Benjamin enter, he showed a rare hint of a smile.
"Good. Now that everyone's here, let's begin. I'm sure you've already guessed: the experimental results are in."
With a wave of his hand, dense projections of data spread through the air.
"More than ten thousand different information-based materials, tested one by one." There was a note of approval in Martin's voice. "We can now confirm it, Benjamin. Your original theory was entirely correct."
Benjamin perked up and scanned the data.
Every test result pointed to the same conclusion: those Information Beings revered logic and order above all else.
Any information with a clear structure, rigorous logic, and a consistent pattern was "friendly" to them.
Chaotic, disorderly, random information, on the other hand, provoked a violent rejection.
"So what they revere is..." As Benjamin studied the data, a term surfaced in his mind. "Entropy Reduction?"
"Yes."
Martin nodded. "That's our conclusion:
