Thud, thud, thud!
Leonard hurried down the passenger corridor so fast that he nearly collided with another passenger.
"Rude Feysac brute..."
The passenger dodged him with a frightened look and muttered a curse. Leonard pretended not to hear. All he wanted was to reach the stairs and find out who had seemed so familiar!
In just over ten seconds, Leonard crossed the corridor and reached the stairwell. At the black-robed figure's pace, they should have been halfway up the stairs by now...
He looked down, only to find a few ordinary people climbing the stairs.
None of them gave him that inexplicable sense of familiarity he had felt moments ago.

Leonard hurried down the stairs and searched the deck, but he still found nothing. It was as though the figure had vanished without a trace while boarding the ship.

Half dejected and half furious, Leonard returned to his cabin with a dark expression.
He sat in the chair with his arms folded. After a long while, he suddenly muttered angrily, "You lied to me again!"

Leonard kept his voice low. "I've seen them twice now. There's no way I imagined it. That person is real! You noticed them the first time, but you lied and said you hadn't seen anyone!"
