Background / History

Cecilia and her brother, Luther, were targeted in Sirius's sacrificial ritual. After Luther defeated Sirius, he cut her free from her bindings; she immediately warned him when Sirius moved behind him 1. The siblings initially possessed very little beyond a suitcase of simple clothing, sewing supplies, dishes, medicine, and small change 13.

Before Luther's condition improved, Cecilia had been responsible for restraining and caring for him during his periods of hallucinations and madness. The burden of this care left her desperate enough to consider killing him and then herself, though she never acted on those thoughts 14 100 101.

Ms. M later manipulated the siblings, controlled Cecilia alongside Luther, and forced both to consume her flesh. Cecilia nevertheless stabbed Ms. M in an attempt to protect Luther, leaving her afflicted by a Flesh Curse and under Ms. M's surveillance 77 87. Luther eventually created Life in a Bottle with a Witch's Heart and Cecilia's blood, transferring the curse and severing Ms. M's influence over her 113.

Wanting to stand beside Luther rather than remain protected by him, Cecilia asked to become a Paranormal. Luther initially resisted because of the danger of the path, but accepted after learning how deeply his condition had affected her 100 101. She became an Assassin and soon demonstrated the ability to defend others as well as herself 104 110.

After Luther was declared dead in Backlund, Cecilia revived him and continued caring for him through his unstable, semi-mad state 132 133 140. At a later point, her soul came to be kept within Luther's body as one of his protected Lambs. Because it was gradually weakening there, Luther considered moving it into the Tide; by the time he became a Black Knight, her soul rested peacefully on a stone platform within his Illusory Ocean 330 456.
