A Thousand Years of Seclusion

At first, perhaps it was only one or two powerful beings fighting over a Chaos Rare Treasure.

Then some powerful races began picking on smaller races to seize more resources.

But those great races had underestimated the smaller races' resilience, their determination to survive, and their wisdom.

To defend the "rights" that belonged to them, the smaller races began joining forces, forming alliances of all sizes!

A single small race was no match for a great race. But when ten or a hundred small races joined together, even the great races with their deep foundations could not afford to ignore them!

What was more, some alliances included over a thousand races. With that, the situation was completely reversed.

After clashing with these alliances several times and suffering defeat after defeat, the great races finally caught on. One race alone was no match for the smaller races' alliances—but the great races could form alliances too.

So, to meet the challenge, the leaders of the great races gathered and founded an alliance together, naming it the Saint Court Alliance.

More than ten great races joined the newly founded Saint Court Alliance. Once their powerful members gathered, their numbers alone overwhelmed over ninety-nine percent of the smaller races' alliances!

Then the Saint Court Alliance launched an offensive. In just a few short years, it wiped out hundreds of racial alliances. Of course, they didn't exterminate every small race in those alliances. Instead, they kept a considerable number as their "subordinate races"—which was really just a polite way of saying slaves.

They branded these slaves with powerful Prohibitions, then forced them to fight in their wars. As a result, the Saint Court Alliance's military strength grew exponentially.

Its territory, too, expanded rapidly, like a snowball rolling downhill!
