Or she would descend from the sky while he was skinning a tiger, frowning as she said, "Sanzang, excessive killing will affect your Buddhist heart. These creatures may be dull-witted, but they are still among all living beings. Why must you take their lives?"
Whenever Guanyin appeared, Tang Sanzang would stop, press his palms together, and wear a respectful expression as he said, "This humble monk knows his mistake." But once Guanyin left, he still killed what he needed
