Eternal Night Desert.
Dense darkness filled the entire world, as solid as stone.
Nine stone pillars stood in silent stillness. Purple-green lightning streaked across the sky, briefly illuminating a scene in the desert.
Chains forged from Tribulation Power swayed and tightened, tugging at the blood-red coffin suspended in midair.
Beyond the stone pillars, Alien Fiends stood in scattered groups, gazing up at the coffin with utterly emotionless eyes.
Right beside the pillars, Ning Wuye lay with his eyes closed, covered in blood and terrible wounds, his robes soaked through. Beside him was Zhong Kui Yueji, whose aura had grown faint. Farther away stood Ji Changfu, with three deep, bone-revealing gashes across his back and his left arm missing.
Jade Snow Bat opened her eyes and looked around. At last, she gazed at the coffin floating between the nine stone pillars. The instant her eyes fell on it, a powerful shudder stirred in her heart.
The coffin exuded a constant torrent of violent, chaotic, frenzied... utterly dreadful auras!
By now, the Eternal Night Whisper in her ears had grown incredibly faint, breaking off again and again, as though it might vanish at any moment.
Who knew what manner of being was sealed inside that coffin? It seemed that the slightest hint of disrespect in her thoughts would be enough for it to destroy her with a mere thought, leaving not even her soul behind!
She couldn't stay here. She had to leave at once!
Jade Snow Bat shuddered with terror and was about to move when a wave of weakness washed over her. Only then did she realize she, too, was covered in blood and wounds.
The injuries she had suffered in the Dream Realm had followed her back to reality!
Jade Snow Bat couldn't afford to worry about that now.
