Soul rings are essential to a Soul Master’s advancement. Conventionally, they are formed from a Soul Beast’s life essence upon death and are acquired through hunting and absorption. Their age is a major determinant of their strength and potential soul skills 12 109 193.

Unlike Soul Bones, soul rings dissipate when their owner dies 105. Conventional rings may retain a Soul Beast’s will, creating rejection risks when their attributes or nature are incompatible with the absorbing Soul Master 193.

Self-Generated Soul Rings

Lin Yuan’s rings are self-condensed rather than harvested from Soul Beasts. At his Martial Soul awakening, three white rings naturally formed and rapidly upgraded into thousand-year rings without rejection, nourished by his Dragon God Bloodline 2.

He later identifies the underlying principle as the conversion of spiritual energy into a soul ring through bloodline-guided condensation. His own rings began at thousand-year age before being advanced through external energy and cultivation 109 193.
