Nature

Star Refiners are humans transformed by Star Power after visualizing Star Gods and bathing in starlight. Their bodies, Qi and Blood, appearance, and combat capability are progressively optimized beyond ordinary carbon-based life. Even newly awakened Star Refiners possess physical power sufficient to overwhelm conventional martial artists. 41 103

The conventional Star Refiner system was founded on Martial Will as humanity’s attempt to control Star Power. Xiang Tianxing describes it as an incomplete system: humanity later developed the Great Star Master and Legendary routes because Fierce Beasts and Demonic Creatures were evolving faster than ordinary Star Refiners could counter. 221

Cultivation

Visualization of Star Gods

The usual entry requirement is the talent to visualize a Star God and receive starlight. Earlier understanding held that this talent could not be obtained through effort alone: if a person lacked it, repeated visualization would not yield even a trace of starlight. 123

Martial Saints can attempt an alternate transition through Refining Qi into Spirit. By converting Qi and Blood into Spirit, a peak Martial Saint may attain sufficient spiritual power to imprint Star Power into their body, though the process effectively abandons their former physical foundation. 41 228

A later cultivation method introduced by Sun Glory Heavenly Venerate allows even those without conventional Star Refiner talent to pursue the path, triggering a worldwide shift away from martial arts. 433 447

Force

Force is the first essential discipline after awakening. It allows a Star Refiner to control their explosively increased body and Qi and Blood rather than causing accidental destruction through raw strength. 103 120

• Some Star Refiners stop visualizing when their physique reaches roughly 50 Qi and Blood because further growth without Force risks lethal loss of control. 120

Star Palaces and Divine Abilities
