Late March Wrap-Up and Some Thoughts

I was too embarrassed to ask for votes in February.

I'd originally planned to ramp up the updates in February and then finish the story. We'd gone on break at the end of January, so I thought I'd have plenty of time that month.

I figured that once I got home, I'd update by at least eight thousand words a day—not quite ten thousand, but close.

I thought I'd be able to finish updating around the end of the month.

But I hadn't expected to be swamped with things to do before the New Year once I got home. I was busy every day, and then I had to visit relatives and friends. I simply had no time.

I could barely manage two chapters a day back then.

February might be the only month since I started writing this book when I didn't put out a huge number of updates.

Even during the new-book period, I did better than this...

So I just took February as it came, since the update schedule really wasn't great.

Still, my editor said I was updating too fast. Other people took a year to write a book, while I'd churned out nearly two million words in less than half a year.

Next up: the final group-stage match against Team USA, the quarterfinals against Switzerland, the semifinals against Germany, and the final against Spain.

A lot of people will take their bows. Thank you all for your support!
