Eight-Wastes Dragon Battle: Black Sun

After a brief exchange of probing attacks, Uchiha Mai struck again.

"Form 109: Yomi Stroke."

Uchiha Mai gathered chakra in both hands and fired two waves of chakra flames.

Yomi Stroke was two Dark Strokes launched in quick succession, one from each hand. Its range was slightly shorter than Dark Stroke's.

The moment Kisame saw the blue flames coming, he judged their paths and dodged aside.

Chakra Absorption Technique was not all-powerful. It could absorb an enemy's chakra only through bodily contact or while defending against a physical attack.

If it could absorb ninjutsu too, wouldn't that make it the Rinnegan's Preta Path?

Kisame's explosive speed fell a little short of his sheer strength, but it was still impressive.

He reacted quickly enough that, barring any surprises, he would evade Yomi Stroke without trouble.

Uchiha Mai just had to create that surprise.

"Roar!"

A clear dragon's cry rang across the sky. A Black Dragon flew from behind Uchiha Mai and wound through the air toward Kisame.

Its tail lashed across Kisame's chest, stopping him in his tracks.

The Black Dragon revealed itself and coiled around Kisame like a clinging curse, fighting to restrict his movements.

Uchiha Mai's gaze sharpened. Even the Black Dragon's charged strike had failed to knock Kisame back. It had barely stopped him. That was a first.

One of Yomi Stroke's two flames slammed into Kisame's back and burst, injuring him and devouring some of his chakra in the process.

Uchiha Mai had not only recovered the chakra Kisame had taken from him, but come out well ahead.

Enduring the pain in his back, Kisame used Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique and smashed the Black Dragon apart with a flurry of punches and kicks.
