The immense force of his blood and vitality shook even his divine soul. Ye Tai's body began to distort and blur, and dizziness overwhelmed him as he struggled to endure it.
His power had now climbed to its peak, placing an enormous burden even on his godhead. This state could not last long, and it harmed him almost as much as it harmed his enemies.
But there was no time to conserve his strength. His overwhelming power had left Depravity and Courage reeling, their divine souls thrown into disarray.
By the time they came to their senses, Ye Tai had already charged forward. With absolute force, he crushed all their defensive measures, then forcibly dragged the two gods into the River of Time, vanishing from where he stood.
This bizarre River of Time had no upstream, only a pitch-black downstream that could not be seen clearly. Its source was the present moment itself, preventing the two from tracing back to an earlier point in time to escape Ye Tai.
Strands of power were drawn from the indistinct downstream of the River of Time. Some flowed into Ye Tai's body, while some entered the bodies of the other two.
Overdrawing his own power was not enough for Ye Tai. He was not sure whether, in that strange state, he could forcefully suppress the two gods clinging to him like dogskin plasters.
So he set up a gamble, with this strange River of Time without an upstream as the gambling table.
Ye Tai believed that he was destined to be stronger than Depravity and Courage in the future. Therefore, in this River of Time, where one could only draw upon future power from its unseen downstream, the enhancement he received would be greater than theirs.
Even gods could only see fragments of
