Kanunu was terrified. He was scared out of his wits and completely at a loss, having no idea what had happened.

Like everyone else in the Celestial Realm, he had revived within that vast ocean of life, coming back to life.

Looking around, everything was unfamiliar. The ruins of the Ghost Mound had been completely restored, brimming with life and breathtakingly beautiful.

Yet that powerful sense of déjà vu still told Kanunu that this was the Ghost Mound. The sight of the Endless Sea was etched deeply into his memory—the coffins floating upon its surface and the clothing worn by the corpses inside were all so familiar.

He had no idea why he had revived here alongside these corpses from the Endless Sea, nor what exactly had happened. He was utterly bewildered.

He knew just how devastating the liquid of the Endless Sea was, so whenever waves rolled toward him, he trembled in fear and carefully avoided them.

But when he saw these revived people become full of life the moment they touched the splashing water, Kanunu began to wonder whether the waters of the Endless Sea had undergone some earth-shaking transformation.

Before he could cautiously test it himself, however, the revived "corpses" had begun greeting one another like old friends. They showed no fear of the terrifying monsters beneath the sea. On the contrary, those dreadful sea beasts guarding the corpses seemed to be celebrating alongside everyone. Not only did they hunt no one, they even responded to the corpses' commands and began pushing the coffins toward shore.
