On a dark and windy night, Maiev, dressed in black, quietly slipped into Illidan's room.
As a Watcher known for her agility, she easily opened the window from outside.
"Hehe, let's see you escape my grasp today." In the darkness, the eyes behind her mask scanned the room and quickly spotted the bulging blanket on the bed. Clearly, Illidan was still fast asleep.
She tiptoed to the bedside, then pounced like a tiger, landing hard on the bed and clamping both hands around his throat as she whispered sharply, "Got you!"
Her voice abruptly cut off, as though her own throat had been seized. There was no sensation of a human body beneath the blanket.
Oh no! Maiev cried inwardly. She had fallen into a trap.
But it was already too late. A rush of wind came at her, and Maiev felt something envelop her tightly. Just as she tried to struggle, ropes cinched tight around the outside. She could not move at all.
"Let me go." Even the strongest woman would be frightened when tied up in darkness, unable to see or hear. Though she knew full well that she had fallen into Illidan's trap.
"Good thing I was prepared. You woman, always so confident and foolish." Illidan's voice came from nearby, like cold steel scraping against steel. "How should I deal with you? Give you a lesson you'll never forget? Hang you from the rooftop for a night, or send you to the market for an exhibition?"
