"Knock, knock, knock!" A brisk knocking sounded at the door.

Tyrande waited patiently for a while, but there was still no movement inside. She waved a hand, and the attendants behind her quietly retreated and vanished. Only the High Priestess remained in the corridor.

Only then did Tyrande speak toward the inner door. "Open the door, Illidan. You need to pull yourself together. I've found a way to resolve our current predicament."

There was still no movement from within. Tyrande raised her voice. "I know this wasn't your fault. I've learned the truth of what happened. It really isn't your fault."

There was still no response. The High Priestess was burning with anxiety; she had countless matters to deal with and needed to settle Illidan and Maiev's situation as quickly as possible, before the Cenarion Circle had time to react.

"Open the door, Illidan Stormrage. I'm Tyrande. Are you really going to lock yourself away for the rest of your life? We need to have a proper talk." Her knocking became urgent, no longer as polite as before.

"Hmph!" The High Priestess snorted coldly and stepped inside.

She saw that the curtains were drawn, leaving the room dim and the air stale. She walked over to the window, pulled back the curtains, and opened it, letting sunlight and fresh air stream in.

Illidan sat on the edge of the bed, covering his face with both hands, looking utterly miserable.
