On Azshara's throne, as always, the Queen admired her wildly mutated beauty in the water mirror.
The Handmaidens around her had quietly withdrawn from the great hall long ago, having received no summons from the Queen.
"Beautiful, so beautiful!" Azshara murmured softly to herself.
"No! This is not what I used to look like. Ten thousand years—I have waited far too long. I need to return to my original appearance!" She began roaring through gritted teeth again, the five eyes on her face wide open. After a while, she gently comforted herself once more. "There is no need to wait much longer. Soon, very soon, I will become beautiful again. Oh ho ho~"
Behind her, a mass of Black Mist appeared soundlessly and crawled rapidly toward Azshara. Many long, slender tentacles split from the mist, writhing and baring their fangs.
Before long, the Black Mist climbed onto Azshara's platform. The Naga Queen sensed it as well, turned around, and said to the mist, "You must be feeling miserable, trapped for so long and still powerless. Soon, everything will change. Don't you agree, N'Zoth?"
