The victory at Stratholme and Marlam's troops' submission greatly boosted the Alliance's morale. The initial recapture of the city carried not only major strategic significance, but also provided a tremendous spiritual uplift.

After leaving part of the Lordaeron allied army behind to assist Marlam's forces with initial garrison duties and cleanup, the main force did not linger. Their next target was Tirisfal Glades—the Scarlet Crusade's last and strongest fortress in the Eastern Plaguelands.
