"So, kid Deren, what are you trying to say?" Aegwynn felt that the boy was being deliberately mysterious.
He leaned closer to Aegwynn. "The Shadowlands are where the souls of all beings in the universe go after death, and they existed from the very beginning of the universe. So did life and death exist at the dawn of the universe?"
"Uh..." Aegwynn was stumped as well. What state the universe had been in at its birth was already beyond the scope of her knowledge.
Deren continued, "If life and death existed from the beginning of the universe, then the number of souls that have flowed into the Shadowlands by now must be enormous. In that case, within the span of time we can comprehend, even thousands or tens of thousands of years are negligible. If no souls entered the Shadowlands for such a short period, the impact on it would be minuscule. Right?"
Aegwynn nodded.
"If there was no life or death at the beginning of the universe, then the theory of the six primal forces has a problem, since life and death only appeared later. In that case, if there were a period during which souls did not enter the Shadowlands, it really would have a tremendous impact on it," Deren analyzed.
"Kid Deren, what are you trying to say?" Aegwynn had been led in circles until she was confused.
Deren smoothed the ends of his hair. He had been busy lately, and it had grown a little long. He sighed. "I suspect the Shadowlands are merely some kind of death realm belonging to Azeroth. They were born later, rather than being the place of death for the entire universe as they boast."
"You're right. The Shadowlands sound incredibly impressive, as though they are the embodiment of the laws
