In the dead of night, Dranosh, who was on watch, woke everyone. The Goblin desperately wanted to sleep, rolling around a few times in frustration before finally climbing up.
"I hate traveling in the middle of the night," he grumbled, while his hands and feet kept moving as he packed up his bedding and prepared to flee.
"Y-you're leaving now?" The Broken, who had slept outside the camp amid a pile of gathered grass, heard the commotion and immediately panicked.
"Yes, we'll be traveling through the latter half of the night. Our pursuers may arrive at any moment," Dranosh said. "You can come with us. Just don't fall behind."
"Okay, okay!" The Broken immediately scrambled up, ready to scatter the grass pile.
"No, leave the grass pile!" Dranosh reminded her. "Give the pursuers somewhere ready-made to rest. That way, they'll consider stopping here."
"Haha, we travel while they rest. That gives us a chance to hurt them," the Goblin chuckled quietly.
The group did not bother packing carefully. Instead, they casually left some odds and ends scattered around the camp. Dranosh, meanwhile, fixed his gaze on the tattered cloth wrapped around the Broken.
He strode over to her, stared at her body, thought for a moment, and muttered to himself, "Should I leave it here?"
Though the Broken was swollen all over and hideous beyond words, being stared at so closely by the young Orc still made her uncomfortable. Her voice trembled as she asked, "W-what do you want?"
