Rokushiki was a set of physical techniques used by the Marines in the anime One Piece, surpassing the limits of the human body. It consisted of six moves: Iron Body, Paper Art, Soru, Geppo, Rankyaku, and Finger Gun.
Iron Body: Strength was pumped into a rigorously trained body, giving it the hardness of iron. Even bullets, blades, and swords could not break through it. Its only drawback was that one could not move freely while using Iron Body.
Paper Art: By relaxing the entire body and sensing changes in the airflow caused by an opponent's movements, one could control their body as effortlessly as drawing on paper. Attacks directed at them could all be dodged at the last possible moment.
Soru: In an instant, one stomped the ground dozens of times at high speed, generating explosive recoil for rapid movement. To an enemy, it looked as though the user had simply vanished.
Geppo: By stepping on the air with powerful leg strength, one generated enough lift to walk through the sky as if climbing Stairs. However, one could not remain in the air for too long.
Rankyaku: By unleashing an extremely fast and powerful kick, one created a vacuum blade to strike the opponent, easily splitting the target in two.
Finger Gun: All the body's strength was concentrated into the index finger, and a strike was launched from the hardened finger in a flash. The fingertip possessed the destructive power of a bullet and could easily pierce the human body.
The ultimate secret of Rokushiki, "Rokuogan": the strongest physical technique of Rokushiki, used only by Lucci. It was the highest secret art that could only be comprehended by those who had mastered the six techniques above and trained them to their limits. With both fists clenched and pressed together, it unleashed an attack resembling a Shockwave, several times more powerful than the Impact Dial of Sky Island.
The author had originally intended to include extended applications of Rokushiki as well. However, there were too many varied derivative moves, and they might have blurred the focus, so that setting was abandoned.
Also, ordinary Rokuogan apparently had not originally required charging; only [Maximum Wheel Rokugan] required it. The setting was changed to make the battles more visually appealing.
The author was also considering whether to have the protagonist enter the City of Slaughter.
If the protagonist entered the City of Slaughter, Rokushiki and Rokuogan would not be limited to appearing only in the early stages. Some of Rokushiki's extended applications could be included as well.
