Luckily, Wang Yue had left quickly. He had barely disappeared when Baiyue's figure appeared outside Nuwa Temple. But Baiyue didn't dare enter, whether because he feared Nuwa might ambush him or for some other reason.
On the way back to Mount Shu, Wang Yue didn't put up a protective shield. He deliberately let the cold wind blow over Li Xiaoyao. When that guy had traveled through time, he'd actually gone and tried to sweet-talk Zhao Ling'er again.

Li Xiaoyao hadn't expected Wang Yue to figure it out. He hurriedly stopped smiling and denied it three times, his face solemn. "No, no, I didn't."
One look at that expression told Wang Yue there had definitely been something to it. He'd actually brought it up to keep Li Xiaoyao from asking about the doll in his hands. If Li Xiaoyao found out he hadn't managed to give it to little Ling'er, he'd never let Wang Yue hear the end of it.
He wondered whether little Ling'er would be happy. After Wang Yue returned to Mount Shu, he gave her the doll, and she was indeed delighted.
