Wang Yue couldn't very well leave Lin Xiangzhi lying on the ground, so, with his weakened body, he struggled to carry her to the bed in the guest room. After tucking her in, he didn't take the opportunity to lie down beside her. Instead, he withdrew from the room quite decisively.
After that series of movements, Wang Yue's body seemed to have reached its limit. Too exhausted even to wash up, he returned to his bedroom, threw himself onto the bed, and promptly fell fast asleep. He had never been this tired before. He needed to sleep for a while.
